How Do I Register My Vehicle?

Congratulations! You've purchased a new vehicle with Texans Credit Union. We're happy to be a part of your journey and are here to help you through the process.
Now that your vehicle purchase is complete, you'll need to register your vehicle with your state's motor vehicle department and list Texans Credit Union as the lienholder. Most states require this process to be completed within 30 days. We've created a quick guide to help you smoothly navigate this process.

How Do I Complete My Texas Vehicle Registration?
Find your local County Tax Office online using this easy tool.
Gather your necessary documents. You will need:
Your Title Application
- List Texans Credit Union as the lienholder using our Electronic Lien Code: 75099250900 and our address: 777 E Campbell Rd, Suite 300, Richardson, TX 75081
- List the vehicles owners’ names (yours and any joint owners on your loan)
Original Title
- Must be signed over to you by the seller
Bill of Sale
- Must include the seller’s name and address, the date of sale, the VIN, and the vehicle information
Proof of Insurance
- Must provide current, valid insurance in your name
A form of payment required for the vehicle sales tax
- Your county office can provide an estimate of fees and acceptable forms of payment

Once you have completed the title registration process, you will need to send us a copy of the verification by email, fax, or mail.

How Do I Complete My Vehicle Registration in Another State?
- Find your state’s local motor vehicle department online.
- Look for the Buying a Vehicle section on your state’s website. Most state websites will provide step-by-step instructions and links to the required forms.
- If you live in a state where the vehicle title is owner-held, check with your state’s motor vehicle department to see if you are required to have the lienholder notified of lien perfection.
