Annual Audit Notice As part of the Texans Credit Union annual audit, our auditor, Doeren Mayhew, will be mailing account confirmation letters to a sample group of our membership in November. These letters will ask you to verify September 2023 month end balances on your accounts. Separate letters will be mailed for deposit accounts and loan accounts. All responses should be mailed directly to the auditing firm using the prepaid postage envelopes provided in the mailing.

CDs & IRAs

We provide our members with a better strategy for managing their assets. Prepare for retirement with an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) at Texans. Each account has different advantages – tax-deferred or tax-free growth. CDs will have higher dividends and fixed rates.

Certificates of Deposit (CDs)

This convenient savings option allows you to earn higher interest at a guaranteed, fixed rate. That means the longer you save, the better your rate. With a Texans CD, enjoy:

  • Flexible terms from 3 months to 60 months
  • Interest paid monthly
  • Automatic renewal
  • $500 minimum deposit to open

Traditional IRA – Tax-Deferred

Contributions1 toward your retirement may be tax deductible2, and your earnings are tax-deferred until withdrawal. This means you only pay taxes on your retirement savings when you withdraw money from your account.4

Roth IRA – Tax-Free Growth

Roth IRAs differ from traditional IRAs because you make contributions1 with money you’ve already paid taxes on. This means your earnings can grow tax-free.2,4,5

Certificate rates are dependent on the term selected and may change at any time without prior notice. We use the daily balance method to calculate the interest on your account. For Certificate of Deposits, you will be paid the rate disclosed for the entire term of the Certificate. Certificates will renew automatically and have a grace period of ten (10) calendar days after the maturity date to withdraw funds. Early withdrawal penalties may apply to Certificates of Deposit and could reduce earnings on the account.
